Parking guidance reduces up to 35% emissions

Parking guidance system

Parking shouldn't be a frustration—it should be part of a seamless, efficient experience. For business centers, airports, shopping complexes, and commercial buildings, parking is often the first and last touchpoint for visitors. If it’s inefficient, everything else feels harder.

That’s why more and more property owners and system integrators are turning to smart, camera-based parking guidance systems—designed to improve traffic flow, enhance the user experience, and reduce environmental impact.

Without parking guidance system, parking can quickly become chaotic

Drivers spend too much time circling for a free spot. Some areas get overcrowded while others stay empty. This not only wastes time and fuel—it frustrates visitors and tenants.

For operators, it’s hard to get a clear view of what’s happening. Without real-time data, managing parking efficiently becomes a guessing game.

And there’s a bigger issue: all that unnecessary driving adds up. In some locations, up to 30% of on-site CO₂ emissions come just from cars looking for parking.

In busy places like airports, business centers, or commercial complexes, these challenges grow fast—and they affect everything from customer satisfaction to sustainability goals.

A strategic asset for smart properties

Smart parking isn’t just about convenience—it’s a strategic advantage.

With a camera-based parking guidance system, you can cut parking time by up to 40%, reduce CO₂ emissions by as much as 35%, and improve the experience for tenants, visitors, and shoppers.

It also gives you real-time data to manage occupancy, reduce congestion, and make better operational decisions.

And if you're working with broader smart building systems, this solution is built for seamless integration—making it easy to plug into your existing tech stack.

Parking guidance in Riga International Airport

At Riga International Airport, we implemented our camera-based parking guidance system in the P3 parking zone, covering over 2,000 spaces.

Here's how it works:

At the entry barrier, outdoor displays show which rows have available spaces. The system connects to the airport’s existing CCTV cameras, which feed video to our AI engine. The engine identifies parked cars and vacant spaces in real time.

As soon as a car parks, the system marks the spot as occupied and updates the displays automatically. This gives travelers a faster, easier parking experience—especially during busy travel seasons.

The result: less congestion, lower emissions, and smoother operations across the site. Read more about project.
