Start your career with BISS as an Access Control & Parking Systems Technician.

During your internship, you will work alongside experienced BISS specialists, get to know the day-to-day work of a service technician, and gain hands-on experience with technological systems at real customer sites.

No previous experience is required - what matters most is your interest in technology and willingness to learn.

Work location: customer sites in Riga and elsewhere in Latvia.

This internship is suitable for students in IT, electronics, electrical engineering, automation, robotics, mechatronics, telecommunications, and other related study programmes.

What will you do?

During the internship, you will gradually become familiar with the work of a service technician and, together with the BISS team, you will:

• install, assemble, connect, and configure technical equipment;
• assist with technical maintenance and preventive servicing;
• diagnose technical issues and help resolve them;
• assist with repairing or replacing faulty components;
• work at customer sites and gain experience in professional communication with clients.

You will work under the guidance of experienced colleagues, so you are not expected to know everything from day one - you will develop the necessary knowledge and skills throughout the internship.

What technologies will you work with?

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of technological systems and equipment, including:

• access control systems and electronic access devices;
• video surveillance systems;
• ANPR cameras for automatic number plate recognition;
• parking management and control systems, including barriers;
• entry and exit terminals;
• payment terminals;
• network and communication solutions that support system operation.

You will not only work with individual devices, but also gain an understanding of how different technologies work together as part of an integrated system.
