Zunda Towers, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Daugava, and Novira Plaza are well-known destinations in Riga, serving office tenants, hotel guests, business visitors, and everyday drivers. In high-traffic locations like these, parking needs to be fast, intuitive, and efficient.

Building on the earlier cooperation between Snabb and BISS at Origo shopping centre, this project expands pay-on-exit functionality across multiple sites in Riga, focusing on simplifying the final stage of the parking journey.

With pay-on-exit terminals installed at the barrier, drivers can settle parking fees immediately before leaving. This eliminates the need for separate payment machines or additional steps after reaching the exit.

The result is a smoother departure process, improved traffic flow, and reduced delays in busy urban environments.

Project Overview

In February and early March 2026, BISS delivered and installed five NGP-Mini pay-on-exit terminals for Snabb parking locations across Riga, including Zunda Towers, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Daugava, and Novira Plaza.

This project represents the continued development of seamless parking infrastructure in Riga, further expanding the pay-on-exit approach developed by Snabb and BISS and contributing to a more connected parking experience across multiple locations.

The solution enables drivers to complete payments directly at the exit barrier using cashless bank card transactions, supported by electronic receipts. Designed for high-traffic urban environments, the terminals provide a fast and intuitive user experience while supporting efficient and reliable day-to-day parking operations.

From an operational perspective, the implementation helps reduce congestion at peak times and minimizes the need for additional on-site infrastructure, such as standalone payment machines. This allows parking operators to optimize space and streamline the overall parking flow.

By allowing payments at the point of exit, the system reduces friction, minimizes unnecessary interactions, and helps maintain steady vehicle flow—improving convenience for both frequent users and first-time visitors.
